Ep3
Thursday 6th June 2019 on ITV

Pictured: Neil

The latest instalment of the celebrated documentary series which has followed a group of British children every seven years since 1963. In this final episode, Paul & Symon – who were filmed at 7 growing up in the same childrenÕs home – have an emotional reunion in Australia where Paul emigrated as a teenager. And we catch up with Neil, one of the seriesÕ most memorable characters with perhaps the most dramatic course of life events. In 1964 he was an enchanting Liverpool boy who wanted to be an astronaut. Tragically, in 28 Up Neil was found homeless and struggling with mental health issues. Yet he surprised viewers when he reappeared as a Liberal Democrat councillor in Hackney in 42 Up. NeilÕs roller-coaster existence as captured by Michael Apted over the decades has always expressed truth about the human condition. This is the most recent chapter in his extraordinary life.
